3+1+1 Joint Program Roadshow Successfully Held

   On October 16, 2020, the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering held a lecture on the “3+1+1”joint program of Chongqing University-National University of Singapore in classroom D1338, the first teaching building of Huxi campus. Mr. Wang Shuo, from Suzhou Research Institute, National University of Singapore, Mr. Xiao Lei, director of Graduate Office of School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, Ms. Li Ying, counselor of grade 2018, and more than 60 students of the college attended the lecture.

   Mr. Xiao Lei, on behalf of the school, extended a warm welcome to Mr. Wang Shuo's arrival, and briefly introduced the National University of Singapore to the students. The "3 + 1 + 1" project aims to cultivate communication engineering professionals with comprehensive quality and international vision, and promote the internationalization of undergraduate education. The project adopts the "3 + 1 + 1" mode for professional degree joint training: in the first three years, students have completed relevant undergraduate studies in the school of communication engineering of Chongqing University; in the Fourth academic year, students have entered Suzhou Institute of National University of Singapore for bridging course study and academic research; in the fifth academic year, students who meet the entrance qualification of Electrical Engineering Department of National University of Singapore go to the University for master's degree courses Study and complete all credits, thesis writing and defense required by the University. After meeting the corresponding requirements, students can obtain bachelor's degree and master's degree certificate from Chongqing University and National University of Singapore respectively.

 

    Then, through presentation and video, Mr. Wang introduced the general situation of the Institute, the advantages and characteristics of the joint program, learning mode, application conditions, admission process, as well as its rich teaching resources and outstanding scientific research achievements. In order to let the students have a deeper understanding of the project, Mr. Wang Shuo connected the student of grade 2017 who is studying in the Institute to show his current learning and living conditions. In the end, the audience interacted with Mr. Wang Shuo on the topics they care about.
